Afika is a candidate attorney in LHR’s Land and Housing unit. He first joined the organisation as an intern in 2016 and commenced his articles in 2017. He holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree (with majors in Political Science and Law) as well as an LLB Degree obtained in 2015 from Rhodes University.
Afika’s interests are rooted in Constitutional law and his main area of focus is on progressive realisation and alternative accommodation in light of South Africa’s current housing jurisprudence along with the strengthening of labour tenant right specifically in the winelands.
